Yesterday we laid to rest my Aunt, Katherine Lorene Neudecker Kuehn. She was 91 years of age. Born May 2, 1916 in Jackson, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Frank and Lorene Mills Neudecker. She was the 11th and youngest of my grandfather's children. She was married to Ernest Kuehn in 1933 but never left the house of my grandfather until 1957, five years after his passing. She was the mother of two, grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of four. She was a librarian for 28 years with Memphis / Shelby county and director of the South branch for 18. In 1976, she was named Memphis Shelby County "Woman of the Year". These accomplishments paled to fact that she was the core to our family, the preserver of our traditions and history, and the home we would all go to in time of comfort and love. This was a fireball of a woman, who until the last five weeks of her life never stopped serving God or man. And then she only stopped serving man and we served her.

May God Bless and  Keep You This Day Till Tomorrow
